Our Birthday

What a joy our Rylee is! Yesterday we celebrated our first birthday together. The morning greeted us with rain and in the desert that is a blessing. It carried on throughout the day off and on with periods of sunshine. We were taken to brunch by Papa Moe to Cracker Barrel and had a wonderful meal. He was tickled that Rylee took to the grits. Considered a "Southern" staple and of course he is from the South. Later I received many birthday wishes from my family members and I thank you all.

This past week was very busy. I had grandgirls all week. All four spread out on different days. It was a bit crazy. Thankfully the weather was sunny and warm each day so we all played outside. It was a pleasure having Jayda and Raven. They are growing sooo fast! Jayda just turned 5 and starts kindergarten in August. Raven will be three in April and was working on pedaling the tricycle while here.

Saturday was our first day of rain this time around and it was my turn to host Bunco. I was a bit concerned that not everyone would make it due to the weather and the hazards it could cause. This was the first time I had the pleasure of hosting as I only became a permanent member of the group last September. There are 12 of us women. We meet once a month to play and is a lot of fun. It is a great way to make new friends, share a meal and lots of laughs. They are a wonderful, fun-loving bunch of ladies! Fortunately all arrived safe and sound just a little wet. It was a good time.
